Emotional Support Animal (ESA) Evaluations
I provide online emotional support animal (ESA) evaluations for residents of California, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and Utah. The evaluation is a clinical process to understand your needs and the role your animal plays in supporting your mental health. When clinically appropriate, an ESA housing letter may be provided as part of that process.
What to Expect
We’ll meet by telehealth to discuss your mental health history, what you’ve been experiencing, your relationship with your animal, and how your animal supports you. I’ll explain the process and answer your questions. Following the evaluation, I’ll determine whether an ESA housing letter is clinically appropriate.

Initial California evaluations require two telehealth appointments over a minimum 30-day period. In Oregon, Pennsylvania, and Utah, ESA housing letters are typically processed within one business day following clinical approval.
An ESA housing letter is documentation from a licensed mental health professional that may support a request for an animal to live with you as a reasonable accommodation. It is based on an individual clinical evaluation.
